My Homeserver

My home server consists of an old HP desktop PC on which I have installed the Type-1 hypervisor Proxmox VE as the operating system.

On the hardware side, it features an Intel i7 CPU, 16 GB RAM, and a total of 1280 GB of storage (including 256 GB SSD and 1 TB HDD).

On the software side, I have set up several LXC containers using Proxmox, each containing one or more applications. These include:

• A Minecraft server for both the Java and Bedrock versions
• Several self-programmed Python applications, including my Discord bot
• A VPN based on Wireguard
• A PiHole DNS ad blocker
• A notification service using Ntfy
• A Docker installation managed with Portainer; including:
  • A reverse proxy (Nginx Proxy Manager)
  • A dashboard for various web interfaces (Heimdall)
  • Uptime Kuma
  • A ticketing system (Peppermint)
• A personal cloud (Nextcloud)
• This website (WordPress)
• An email server (Modoboa)
